AthenisOS

Terms of Service

Last updated 22 July 2026

These are the terms for using AthenisOS. Using it means agreeing to them. They are written to be read; if anything here is unclear, ask rather than guess.

What AthenisOS is

A study tool. You upload your own school work — notes, timetables, marked essays, results — and it reads them, maps the concepts, builds quizzes and flashcards, and suggests what to revise. It is operated by Max Singer and is early software under active development.

Who can use it

You need a Google account to sign in. If you are under 13 — or under 16 in some countries — you need a parent or guardian's permission first. Do not create an account for anybody else.

Your work stays yours

You keep every right to what you upload. Nothing you put into AthenisOS is claimed, published, sold, or used to train anyone's AI models. The only permission you give is the one required to run the product: storing your material and sending it to the services listed in the Privacy Policy so your results can be produced.

What you agree not to do

The AI gets things wrong

This matters more than anything else on this page. AthenisOS uses a large language model to read your documents and generate concepts, explanations, quizzes and plans. It will sometimes be confidently wrong — misreading a date on a timetable, inventing a link between two ideas, marking a correct answer wrong, or explaining something in a way your syllabus would not accept.

Check anything that matters against your actual notes, your teacher, or your exam board. Do not rely on it alone for a deadline, a grade, or an answer. Nothing it produces is educational, academic or professional advice, and no outcome is guaranteed.

Usage limits

Every account has a daily limit on AI work, because each request costs real money. Reaching it stops further AI requests until midnight; your data is unaffected. You can see exactly how much of today's you have used on the Usage page. The limit may change as the product does.

Availability

There is no uptime guarantee. This is a small project running on third-party infrastructure and it may be slow, briefly broken, or down. Features may change or be removed. Where a change would destroy data you have created, you will be told first.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page, which removes everything attached to it immediately and irreversibly. We may suspend an account that is breaking these terms or putting the service at risk, and will say why where it is possible to.

Liability

AthenisOS is provided as-is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including a grade, a missed deadline, or lost work — arising from using it. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud, which cannot be excluded.

Because this is early software, keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not remove rights you have under the law of the country you live in.

Changes

These terms may change as the product does. Material changes will be signalled before they take effect, and the date at the top always reflects the current version.
